Megan Gougeon, LLMSW, E-RYT

Welcome!  My name is Megan Gougeon and I am honored to be here for your journey in therapy.  I am passionate about my work with individuals to help them connect more deeply to their inner wisdom and knowledge of themselves.  It is through self awareness and action that people can make lasting changes in the ways they connect to their bodies, relationships, and their inner sense of peace.  It is my honor to guide folks in that process.

Making the decision to start therapy is a brave step, and it is of the utmost importance to me that each person that embarks on this process feels safe, seen, and understood.  As your therapist, I will work with you to set goals, identify barriers, and work on areas to grow.  I specialize in eating disorders, pre- and post-natal care, anxiety, ADHD and perfectionism. I approach therapy through a humanistic and holistic approach through trauma-informed mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, among other modalities.  We will work together to help bring awareness to mind, body, and emotions.

I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan.  I am also a registered yoga instructor, E-RYT 200, and have been teaching yoga and mindfulness since 2011.  My approach to therapy is creative and eclectic, drawing from the worlds of social work and yoga.  Bringing these models together in a unique way for each individual client helps to make the therapeutic process tailored to individual needs, helping you to find self-compassion, peace, and freedom.  Working together, we will create an alliance that works best for you.
