Each of us is a work in progress learning to navigate an ever-changing and complex world. Every stage in our life offers obstacles and hurdles; it is how we respond to them that determines the outcome.
As a therapist I aim to create a safe, judgment free space for self-exploration, discovery, and healing. This is best realized when a client and therapist can work collaboratively.
I focus on the unique needs of the individual with genuine respect for their personal values, choices, and lifestyles. My goal is to help clients build on existing social and emotional skills so they can navigate difficult periods in ways that promote self-esteem, growth, and wellbeing.
I have been a practicing social worker for over 30 years. My areas of focus have been helping young adults and adults with issues of depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, the process of aging and life transitions, by using solutions focused therapy and a strength-based perspective.
In the brilliant words of Ram Dass “We’re all just walking each other home.” It would be my honor and privilege to walk with you on your journey.
